From Mirror Budget to Weak Anarchism (6)
There used to be an idea called anarchism. It is usually treated as meaning “an ideal for which some (violent and) terrible person aspires. However, the original idea of it was a movement started by people trying to resist the paradox of “oppression caused by a government that was supposed to be created for the people,” in pursuit of freedom.
However, due to its absolute emphasis on freedom, anarchism eventually declined as it fell prey to a different kind of injustice: “freedom before life. There was also no methodology for how individual and local activities were connected to the whole.
The “Mirror Budget” is probably an offspring of anarchism. The goal is to prevent the system originally for the people from becoming self-purposed and acting as an oppressor of the people. And what emerges is a kind of limited “anarchy.
However, the “Mirror Budget” does not have the “force of anarchism in the past”, or the spirit of urging people to “die for freedom”. It is an ideology that reduces the unnecessary and stupid parts of the government without having to be prepared to die. That is weak anarchism.
Weak anarchism is the idea that seriousness and spirit should be replaced by institutional design as much as possible so that we do not need spiritualism, to begin with. This comes from the bitter reflection of history that many previous political ideas eventually justified mental and physical sacrifices, leading to genocide, but we will talk about it another time.
